Home to a rediscovered classic, just a short drive from Grogarry guests can enjoy 18-holes on ‘Old’ Tom Morris’ lost course at Askernish.
First laid out in 1891, and now rediscovered with the help from some of the biggest names in the golf industry Askernish Golf Club has undergone a extrodinary rebirth that has seen it christened “the most natural links course in the world”.

In 2008 the course was officially re-opened by Honerary Club President and footballing icon Kenny Dalglish and this anniversary is celebrated annually with The Askernish Open, a tournament will held every August where golfers from around the world come to participate.

A number of magazines have published articles on the course, which can be viewed at:
Travel and Leisure Golf – The Resurrection of Askernish Old.
Golf Monthly – Paradise regained.
New Yorker – Missing Links Slide Show.
Further details of which can be found on the Askernish Golf Club website.

Grogarry Lodge’s inclusive golf packages offer guests the opportunity to play the restored ‘Old’ Tom Morris course at Askernish. Guests will be provided transport to and from the course each day and offered the chance to enjoy a spectacular picnic lunch on the beach that the course overlooks.

Combining golf, with fishing and other activites during a stay at Grogarry Lodge offers all members of a visiting party the chance to make the most of the actvities on the island.
