Red Deer Stalking Uist

Red Deer stalking Uist that we hold are one of the few genetically pure herds left in Britain.  The mature stags are carrying strong antler and often achieve remarkable heavy body weights, some 20+ stone.

The hills of South Uist, which include, Beinn Mhor, Beinn Choradail and Hecla are home to some of the finest Scottish Red deer that can be found anywhere in Scotland.  With our stalking grounds extending to over 50,000 acres, the east side of the Island offers tremendous scope for our stalking clients.

SOME OF THE PUREST & MOST CHALLENGING

SPORT

The herd is carefully managed with selective culling very much at the fore.  The opportunity may present to take one or two of the older trophy stags in a season.

On South Uist, most of our stag stalking takes place during the rut, but early in the season stalking is also available and equally gripping.  A day stalking during the rut can be extremely exciting and rewarding.  The stag’s roars can be heard echoing through the corries and glens alongside the clash on antlers.

I have been coming to South Uist for a great number of years with the same group of friends. It is our favourite sporting destination with fantastic hospitality.
